I came across Julian Bell's body of work through a Reel that was recommended on my Instagram feed.

Couldn't quite place it at the time, but as I'm recording this, I realize that what drew me, even on such a small screen, was this sense of genuine playfulness that he had about him.

I know that Reels are meant to catch our eye and give us that small second of dopamine and giggles, but Julian's content has that differentiating factor that sets it apart from all the junk. His is a particular mix of engaging playfulness and thoughtful engagement that might make you overlook what a truly hard worker you're looking at.

Even though I have long since put professional photography behind me, I always keep these masterful handlers of the visual art in high esteem.  Julian Bell is an incredibly talented creative and that goes without saying.

Being a skilled filmmaker, photographer as well as a  prolific content creator, Julian's storytelling skills and eye for detail have been effectively chiseled in order for his content to answer the needs of  his community.

Even with an ever increasing Social Media following, he manages to maintain a level head through it all, despite his success.
From touching words of encouragement, to gear tips, to reminding us the importance of taking a break, Julian is one of those engaging souls whose warmth and approachability are always welcome.

On this episode, I sit down with Julian to talk about his beginnings, going full-time as filmmaker and content creator, the importance of play, tapping into your wild ideas, experimentation...and even get his insights on his favourite Anime and Manga.

I find today's episode is incredibly appropriate as for some reason, the very subject matter we're going to touch on happens to be so relevant.
See, I was bullied a lot when I was a kid. Something I'm sure many of you can relate to. I'm from a different time where I was taught to strike a balance between sucking it up to recognizing bullying from just playful schoolyard teasing to standing up for myself even if it meant a bruised lip when other person went over the line.
I however cannot speak to some of the particular traumas that some people have experienced from their childhood and have unfortunately carried on way into their adult life...and sadly, in their workplace as well.
Because truth is, personally, in the grand scheme of things, I'll admit that I never took the time to put a label on it. But as much as my tendencies would have me believe otherwise, some of the worst bullies can often be found in the very place where you work.
Workplace bullying is a very real thing. There’s an actual prevalence of it in North America. A January 2021 Workplace Bullying Survey survey conducted by the Workplace Bullying Institute estimates 30 percent of Americans have suffered abusive conduct at work. That's about 48.6 million Americans.
if this numbers seem unreal. Imagine the stories of the people who have experienced these incidents in the first place. I believe it made for an interesting and educational exchange as today's guest, Zenica Chatman, graced this humble podcast with her insights, expertise, wit and incredible truth.
I admire people who have tapped into their purpose with a clear sense of direction and drive and Zenica is one of those.
Zenica is a certified personal and executive coach, workplace trauma expert, trainer and speaker helping her clients rediscover their inner strength and confidence. As a trained journalist and communications strategist, Zenica uses her unique background to help her clients reimagine what’s possible for them and design a career and life they love.
She decided to take a stand against corporate bullies after she was left emotionally broken by a pair of workplace bullies at the height of her career. Once she realized that too many women (especially women of colour) had experiences similar to hers, Zenica decided to take a stand against workplace bullies and help other women learn to stand up, speak out and be heard in the workplace and beyond!
This episode is an emotional one. Zenica's story and mission are truly noteworthy and it's an honour to bring you this wonderful exchange.
On this episode, recognizing workplace bullying as it happens, knowing when it's not , not giving away your power, the importance of guiding principles for finding personal strength...and so much more.

I think this episode is a very special one.
Recorded a while back, I had taken a lot of time before publishing it. Simply because, while listening to it during the editing stage, I realized that I was in a kind a weird mental state.
I've often told you guys that this show being a work in progress, one thing I would never do is pretend that I have it all figured out. Sometimes, I go into these conversations and what I have in mind and what eventually comes out of it are totally different. And that's one the time-capsule aspects of podcasting that I truly enjoy. You go back in time and relive conversations and emotions you forgot were there. And it really helps when the person you share this time with has both the empathy and space to receive what you have to share.
This is the mutual respect, vulnerability and brotherly love that came from this intimate, unfiltered and emotional exchange with my friend, Dennis Gable.
Even though he and I have never met in person, I do not hesitate to call him a personal friend, as in someone who's friendship, honesty, good heart and willingness to always be real has been nothing short of humbling. Something that I truly hope to keep giving back.
Dennis truly is a man of many talents.
He is a dedicated father, something that already makes him awesome in my book. As an imaginative entrepreneur, among his many ventures, he is the creator of 52 Card Pick Me Up, a Mental Health tool for all ages, helping you to identify and align the areas of your life that need attention and action.
He is the also a talented branding specialist, marketing consultant and content creator - or as he coined it himself back in 2019, a bonafied Brand Producer, integrating traditional marketing theory, relational philosophy, and foundational creative principles.
As a fellow podcaster, he his the creator and host of the Self To Society podcast where brings a vast and deeply masculine voice to the conversation on the topic of vulnerability and where he shares a deep understanding of the human experience through his singular perspective.
This conversation is one of those "...wait, I think we should record this.." type of scenarios where two men, two brothers, sat down and chose to hold space for each other in a moment of kindness where each other had a lot on their mind... manhood, confusion, the beauty and fragility of life, having the courage to be genuine in an age hypocrisy, what it means to being a good person...and so much more.
Unfiltered, unbothered, just truth - the best kind of recordings. Enjoy.
You can connect with Dennis via his official website as well as Instagram.

When I was in my teens, I got the opportunity to be part of a theatre class. The Director at the time was short one male role so I had the chance to be exposed to the art of the stage for the first time.
It was a defining moment for me as I realized I genuinely had a talent for it.But then Life happened. Coming from a traditional background where academics are THE priority above all else including creative endeavours, added to the fact that I my grades were in the dumps, my parents drew a line in the sand and I had to close the curtains on the whole experience.
Fast forward a few years and many life experiences later, and I still hold a sincere respect for the art of acting.
Where one can draw from his or her emotions, experiences, trauma, joy, victories, failures and eventually portray a  fleshed-out character or persona, this not only takes quite a bit of creative expertise but most importantly, a tremendous amount of courage.
I've learned that in many ways, we as human beings are deathly afraid of discomfort.
Anything that steps outside of that familiarity of our comfort zone is a lifeline we tend to hold onto, sometimes against our best interest.
As my next guest has allowed me to see through his resounding body of work, the thrill of being a creative, whether through acting, painting or otherwise, is that the unknown is an essential part of the journey and we get the opportunity to shape it however we desire. A message of accountability and audacity that totally resonates with our mission here on the podcast.
Anthony Meindl is an award-winning director, writer, actor, and acting coach.
Among his numerous achievements and accolades, Anthony wrote and directed "Where We Go From Here", which premiered at Outfest in 2019 at the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It won Best Screenplay at Q-Films Long Beach and the Jury Award at NYC's East Village Queer Film Festival, and was acquired by HULU.
He is the founder and artistic director of the Anthony Meindl's Actor's Workshop which he bravely started some 26 years ago in his apartment with 6 students and the desire to help actors understand a more modern and simpler approach to the work.
He has been a passionate advocate in helping actors everywhere understand their worth and advocate for themselves and their own creativity. He has broken myths around the business and what often holds actors back. His mission has always been to help marginalized people and Artists of Color and Trans, Non-Binary, and Queer-identifying actors who often have had little access to training and opportunities in the business.
He now has the largest scene study studio in Los Angeles and locations in 10 other cities around the world: New York, London, Vancouver, Toronto, Atlanta, Sydney, Chicago, Copenhagen and Cape Town.
He is the author of five books; the best-selling creativity book AT LEFT BRAIN TURN RIGHT, self-improvement ALPHABET SOUP FOR GROWN-UPS, acting guide BOOK THE F#©KING JOB!, his memoir, YOU KNEW WHEN YOU WERE 2, and the latest, UNSTUCK, a creativity manual. His self-published books have sold over 28,000 copies.
On this energetic episode, Anthony shares his perspective on the audacity to be yourself, silencing your inner critic, taking that huge leap into the unkwown, finding your voice and how the journey IS the destination.
You can connect with Anthony via his official website as well as Instagram.

He's been an ear to rant to.

A sounding board for some of my wildest ideas.

A uncomfortably relentless no-BS accountability partner.

An incredible source of support and guidance.

One of the very few individuals who have featured on the podcast as both former guest as well as guest host.

A fellow warrior, father and friend.

Someone for whom I hold an incredible amount of respect and esteem.

And we've never even met.

Whimsically embracing the immensely daunting yet incredible adventure that we all call Life.
That is, in but a few words, how i can describe the body of work and personal mission, as i see it, that my next guest has set for herself. And, in her own smiley, energetic and immensely vulnerable way, she chooses to have us tag along for the ride.
Dasia Washington is a digital content creator, vlogger, podcaster as well as a shamelessly talented roller-skating enthusiast and certified instructor.
Being an admittedly creative and hopeless romantic, Dasia, in her words, has committed herself to 'unfolding' which means squeezing everything out of life in every way possible.
When you read her commentary and numerous musings, you get the obvious sense that Dasia has come from a very sincere place of personal truth, courage and perspective that allows her the necessary vantage point to aim ture towards her daily growth.
When you watch her wonderful videos, so incredibly charged with fun and light, you do realize that she makes them in hopes to teach, encourage and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
It was thrilling and energy-filled experience to share this space with such a truly special being, so faithfully dedicated to her journey of empowerment and courageous to tell her story, warts and all.
On this episode, Dasia shares hes insights on being a neurodivergent mind in this crazy, noisy, distracting world, taking chances on yourself, being curious to try weird things, how your dreams are worth getting up early for...and so much more.
You can connect with Dasia via her official website(https://dasiadoesitall.com), Instagram (@dasiadoesit), YouTube, and do catch her brand new podcast, What Were You Saying, available on all platforms.

Today’s guest is such a genuine heart of pure kindness and service, it has to be acknowledged right off the bat.
Tim McBride and I have only know each known each for a very short time by way of courtesy from a mutual acquaintance. But, you don’t have to have played ball together or gone to the same High School to connect with someone who, by all accounts, resonates on the same frequency as you do.
Today’s conversation overflows with Tim’s incredible drive to excel at everything he does. And I mean, everything. From being among the top 1% of all real estate agents in the State of Arizona, to an incredibly successful entrepreneur, devoted man of faith, immensely committed husband and father, as well as a proactive philanthropist in his local community, Tim’s heart is driven by contributing to positive change in the world.
Hard work, drive, and perseverance has also garnered Tim a few much-deserved accolades, including being named to the Scottsdale Association of Realtors’ Forty Under Forty list in 2022, winning the Housing Wire’s 2022 Rising Star award.
Tim has always believed in a purpose bigger than himself. While real estate is his business, service is Tim’s passion. In 2018, he founded Homes for Good(https://www.homesforgoodaz.com/) – a grassroots fundraising movement that uses real estate to connect people with causes they can support.
On this episode, grab a seat and get comfortable as Tim takes us on his heartwarming and impactful journey. Through incredible highs and gut-wrenching lows, to sour relationships to fighting for the love of his life, and eventually using his business as a means to truly give back...this conversation will not disappoint.
You can connect with Tim via his official website (https://www.changeagenttim.com/) and also follow him on Instagram(@timmcbride_changeagent).
