It's a pleasure to welcome back the inimitable and always inspiring Mr Talmadge Spicer on the podcast.
"Uncle Sunny" as he's know throughout most circles was a blast to connect with on his last appearance. It was only a matter of time before we'd manage to align The Universe in order to allow us a second round at an amazing exchange.
On this episode, we share honestly and openly about our thoughts on acceptance, inner conflict, destructive dialogue, giving from 'your cup', energy, being You for You and so much more...
You guys are gonna enjoy this one, I assure you.

Ep. 081 - Fifteen Strong

Saturday Apr 06, 2019

On this short solo episode, perspective is a heartwarming mentor. Especially when you have to take a look over your shoulder and realise how far the two of you have come...as well as the some of the defining moments that have manifested along the way.

Enjoy.

For those of you who've been along for then ride on this little audio adventure of ours, you know that I don't do too much research on my guests as I like to take a chance at getting to know the person across from me with no agenda and or expectation other than to learn from their story, vision and craft.
Garen Jemian is one those breed of people who just have that particular kind of energy that you can't quite put your finger on but definitely resonates as both genuine and engaging.
As an Executive Coach, Leadership Specialist and published author of the new book "Happy People Work Harder", Garen has made it his mission to quite simply improve life at work, for leaders as well as their teams, by inspiring positive change and humanising the corporate experience.
I was really thinking that this episode was going to be centered on or around the topics of Leadership and Work-Life balance.
Suffice to say that I was wrong.
So. Thankfully. Wrong.
There's a something to be said when a conversation takes a turn for the surprisingly impactful and manages leaves you grateful for the opportunity.
I think it's fair to warn you that this recording is a tad longer than usual. I wrestled with the choice to  either edit and publish it two parts or just serve up the entirety of the conversation in its original form. I decided on the latter as the experience was a truly genuine one for me and I think it deserves to remain unabashedly intact.
My thanks to Garen for his immense kindness through heartfelt wisdom and unapologetic honesty.

I have had the incredible opportunity along this journey to connect and learn from a diverse and always inspiring array of guests with an impactful story to tell.
Today's guest is no exception.
In fact, I have to admit what an exciting surprise it was when he accepted my invitation to be a featured guest on the program.
If you've ever come across Thierry Lindor's talks, interviews and overall content, then you're already very familiar with his particular dose of energy and empowerment.
As the Founder & President of InfluenceOrbis, the #1 Entrepreneurial & Influencer movement in Canada, as well as being the Founder of ReMax Griffintown, Thierry embodies the kind of wisdom and ambitious spirit that was not only bred from a very young age, but has also quite obviously fueled his many achievements throughout his career.
His is a story of audacity, curiosity, resilience and consistency that we can definitely learn from as well as apply in our own lives.
An amazing exchange which I do hope you'll enjoy.

The words we speak in the Universe, the foods we ingest, the thoughts we harbour, the relationships we nurture...
I believe that everything is energy.
Whatever your personal formula, it is my belied that it's up to you to find the pieces that fit into your individual equation.
Your Health, your finances, your family, your friendships, your career...it all intimately connects to reveal and define this beautiful tapestry that is your Self.
In that regard, one undeniable thread that often goes neglected or disregarded is the Spiritual. Through personal circumstances, I've had to be reminded that you can't aspire to being whole or complete without minding your relationship with your Spiritual core.
This is one of the many reasons why it was such a thrill to have my next guest on the podcast.
Many of you already know her quite well from her extraordinary resumé as both a talented professional model as well as a remarkable makeup artist, among her many achievements.
However, Clara Luce Lafond, through her impactful content, has demonstrated the kind of self-affirmation that makes you take a second and take notes.
Our conversation was a great discovery for me as I connected with an individual with a great sense of both vulnerability and strength. I got a sense of what it must be like to not only connect with your Spiritual Truth but also acknowledge one's heritage  as you choose to courageously embrace where you came from, fully and unapologetically.

Passion -
Genuine, authentic passion is infectious.
You can feel it from the words and emotion that resonate from the person sitting across from you and you can't help but take notice.
My next guest has the kind of dynamic thirst for life that will give you a run for your money. Just upon our initial connection, I could tell right out of the gate that his was the kind of spirited and uplifting personality that I believe we should take notes from.
As the host of The Music Shindig, a weekly broadcast on UK's Spire Radio, Dino Bedrocker has demonstrated how one shouldn't wait around for permission or invitation to make your goals a reality. As he puts ever so plainly : "...go for it."
I learned a lot from this next conversation - from letting go of the fear, to doing away with the outside noise and naysayers, to simply setting a goal and seeing it through...and of course, having fun along the way.
You can connect with Dino via his official Instagram page
Also, be sure to tune into to Dino and his dynamic array of rockin' guests on The Music Shindig every Wednesday, 6-9PM (UK Time) / 1-3PM (EST) on Derbyshire's Spire Radio .

I do hope you enjoy this conversation as we've enjoyed bringing it to you.

The Universe has a way of making things happen and putting the most amazing people in your horizon. These people oftentimes radiate a certain kind of specific energy and you can tell there's a special connection that's worth tapping into.

That's exactly the kind of vibe I got from my next guest. Tal Spicer is definitely what one might call a special breed of enlightenment, kindness and wisdom.

Through his amazing personality and powerful message of empowerment, accountability and personal truth, his is the kind of mission that certainly aligns with ours.

A genuine smile, a kind heart, a truly cool cat.  Our conversation was a truly powerful one where I got to sit down and learn a thing or two about acceptance, aligning your mindset with your actions, and having the guts to follow your guts...

Ask anyone who's been in a serious, committed and ongoing relationship about the key elements that are part of their particular formula, chances are pretty good the following are never far...
Teamwork
Commitment
Transparency
Communication
...and please leave the Ego at the door.
My next guests are a special pair. Had them on my radar for a while as I'd been keeps nf up with their powerful, funny, genuine and refreshing content over the past year.
Centered around their core beliefs encompassing the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits, whether through a proper nutritional regimen, as well as regular physical activity, their content is a welcome breath of dynamic optimism.
You'd think it's be all about working out amd eating right with these two...but it's so much more. Indeed, Dayana & David Gonzales, happily married, seasoned parents and proud bearers matching undercuts ... seriously...had such an honest and touching story to share, it was humbling to be on the other end.
A jourmey marked by challenges, compromises and victories...Growth has been a constant... certaintly as individuals, but more importantly, as a couple and a unit.
Their kind and thoughtful words remind us of how we should always nurture our core and cater to our couple. Cuz after all,  isn't that where it all started?
Enjoy.

When you see people you respect and admire accomplish great things while living their purpose along the way, it matters that you not only let them know but to also genuinely celebrate these accomplishments along with them.
It is admittedly amazing to witness all the great new things my next guest has been up to since her last appearance on the podcast.
On this energy-filled episode, we take the time to not only catch up, but also cover a variety of topics ranging from the power of affirmation to the importance of prioritizing one's self...something she's more than qualified to speak on.
As a Certified Life Coach, Speaker, Dance Instructor, Podcaster, Activist, Wife and Mother, Emmanuelle Georges is an example of what powerful ambition and purpose-driven action can lead to.
Emmy is a woman of tremendous energy and kindness and it was thrill to have her back on on the program.

It started out with one song. Just a simple listen of one song and I was hell-bent of having this individual on the podcast.
The lyrics, the beat, the energy, the message...come to think of it, I guess it was pretty good mix of all of the above.
What was undeniable though was the feeling I felt from the words of truth and honesty that his latest single "Lakay Mwen"("My Home" in Creole) was conveying.
See, Chabin Golden Child, through a very colourful and intelligent mix of wordplay and humor, talks about the social and racial discrimination that stems from the simple fact of being of a lighter skin tone in one's own homeland.
The words (and the infectious rhythm) sure did a number on me. Not that the subject matter was in any way news to me. Not in the least. But I applauded this creative and transparent effort in highlighting a very real (and ongoing) issue.
Conversation was a short one as we were unfortunately met with some pesky technical difficulties. We can't solve issues overnight - but talking about them, whether through creative mediums or other platforms, is a definite step in the right direction.
